Battle Creek Farmers Market provides fresh, local grown foods, as well as local food vendors every Wednesday from 9am – 1pm

Our Mission
The Battle Creek Farmers Market strives to provide a vibrant, diverse and inclusive community gathering space. Creating access to fresh, affordable produce to all Battle Creek residents and promoting healthy living, nutrition, educational programming, arts and entertainment.
Programs Accepted
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
SNAP provides food benefits to low-income families to supplement their grocery budget so they can afford the nutritious food essential to health and well-being.
WIC Project FRESH
WIC Project FRESH helps to provide healthy and nutritious produce to Michigan WIC clients, while fostering economic development by promoting our state’s diverse agricultural products. The program provides low-income, nutritionally-at-risk WIC clients with eligible, locally grown, fresh, unprepared fruits and vegetables from authorized farmers, farmers’ markets and roadside stands throughout Michigan.
Senior Project FRESH
The Senior Project Fresh program is aimed at helping older adults eat healthier as they age. The program provides participants free nutrition education and $25 in coupons that can be exchanged for fresh fruits, vegetables, and other healthy foods sold at local farmers’ markets and roadside stands.
Double Up Food Bucks
When you use your Bridge Card, Double Up matches your fruit and vegetable purchases dollar for dollar, up to $10 a day. That means you and your family get twice the fresh fruits and veggies.
NHBP Nutrition Programs
Through the use of comprehensive nutrition programs, the Health and Human Services Department continues to work towards Mno Bmadzewen to improve the lives of federally recognized Tribal Members.
